Valerie’s Grace Program, offered by the Young Family Foundation, is a sanctuary for individual practitioners of alternative, complementary, and integrative healing who need respite, reflection, and renewal. Rooted in the belief that healing should be accessible to all, the program provides space for workshops and gatherings specifically for practitioners serving underserved communities and those facing socioeconomic inequalities. Set amidst the serene landscape of Valaterra, Valerie’s Grace Program offers a peaceful environment where healers can recharge, connect, and deepen their work in service of others.
Our vision is to foster a diverse, thriving community of healers who, in turn, uplift their own greater communities by sharing knowledge and skills. By increasing access to our facility for those facing systemic or systematic barriers, we hope to break down inequities and create a more inclusive healing space. The Grace Program is not just about rest—it’s about empowerment, connection, and creating lasting change in the way healing is shared and experienced.
Healing Should Be Accessible for All
Valerie’s Grace Program

The Young Family Foundation
Valerie Young dreamed of building a home on the land she loved, but after being diagnosed with stage IV cancer, her vision grew even bigger. She saw it as a place for healing, where alternative therapies and their practitioners could thrive. With the help of four close friends, she created The Young Family Foundation to make that dream a reality. In 2014, the foundation became a nonprofit, ensuring Valerie’s legacy lives on through Valaterra—a space dedicated to healing, connection, and care.
